    Waterproofing Console in 1801 CC

The water shouldn't get that far up the hose. The previous owner of my boat had the speed gauge replaced because of saltwater intrusion from that same hose. As preventative maintenance I clear out the speedometer hose with a bicycle pump when I winterize. Over time water makes its way up the...

Charcoal Canister on fuel vent. - Out with it or not?

Hold on to it. YOU may find you need it in the future if they (the feds) start cracking down or you sell the boat. Removing OEM EPA devices comes with fines if they want to push the issue. I know there is a million cars with the cats removed and never got caught...blah blah blah.

    Caulking base of center console

I did on my 2003 1801. The tiny drain holes were enlarged. Helped to reduce the mold in the console.

    2020 1801 Bilge Location

Thanks for the heads up on a valid point. It's rare I don't check below at least twice a day when running and any time it rains. With the success of the other bilge system I have I really won't need the check valve anymore so it will most likely be coming out.

Has anyone added an aftermarket t-top?

Only issue I see is they didn't use treated lumber :ROFLMAO:

    2020 1801 Bilge Location

So good news. We had a good amount of rain last night. I haven't been down to the boat since Saturday but when I checked today the bilge is the driest it's ever been with the "DIY Dry Bilge Build" I linked in post #6. I deviated from the original sponge setup in the DIY because I didn't want...

Here is the stringer layout which shows both 40 and 60 gallon tank locations

Fuel Tank Failure in Parker Boats

Mine has a 60 gallon. If I ever needed there is plenty of room for a longer tank going aft. I'd estimate It could add at least 10-15 gallons, but don't forget the additional weight it adds.

    2020 1801 Bilge Location

That's where the dry bilge system comes in. I'm still working out the timer settings on that. https://panbo.com/a-dry-bilge-for-50/ I'll take some pics of that later. I hid the discharge hose pretty good.

    2020 1801 Bilge Location

This is the one I installed. It uses a flap inside like a scupper. Installed as close to the pump as I could. I made sure the hinged part of the flap was at the top. I have enough slack in the bilge hose so if I needed to remove the valve i will have enough hose left. The volume of the 1"x40"...

    2020 1801 Bilge Location

Funny you should ask. I too hate that small amount that the pump cant remove and the additional water that comes back from the line when the pump turns off. A few weeks ago I added an inline check valve at the pump which helps a lot. I also researched the dry bilge systems and made one which...

Armstrong twin engine aluminum bracket on Parker’s?

Always read the product label. On the Hydrocoat can it states "Do Not Use This Product On Aluminum".

Has anyone added an aftermarket t-top?

That's one of the better fitting ones from what I can see.

96 Parker 18 with 3 wire Fuel sending unit

Did you measure the tank depth? What length did you order? What size tank?

96 Parker 18 with 3 wire Fuel sending unit

Same wiring. Just make sure you buy a sender in the 240-33 ohm range (north american).
