I test rode a 2520XL and realized that I needed more deadrise. 16
degrees was too shallow for a boat I want to take offshore.

After discussions with many people (including Brad on this message
board) and ended up with the 2520DV and have never regretted it for one
moment.

The DV is a great ride, very stable, does not rock much on the drift,
and handles nearly all types of seas well. Like Brad said, these are
not fast boats. I have a single Yamaha 250hp Ox66, on a bracket, and
cruise, light load, at 4100-4200RPM's at 25mph. To get to 30mph
requires more throttle and lots of gas.
