    WTB: Bimini Top for 1801

Still searching for a used bimini top! In2Deep: quick question -- what is the height of your bimini (vertical height from the attachment point on the gunwale to top of the bow)? I've been looking at aftermarket biminis and they come in different heights. Thanks, Fly Rod

    WTB: Bimini Top for 1801

Hey In2Deep: Sounds like it would fit. Check your pm. Manolo: Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the beam/width of a 2501 is 9' 6" (amazing cockpit space, no doubt). So the bimini width will be 2' too wide for the (narrow) 1801. Nonetheless, I appreciate the offer. -- Fly Rod

    WTB: Bimini Top for 1801

With a new family member, I'm going to need more shade on the boat (and add another item to snag wayward flies  ). Does anyone have a gently used bimini top for an 1801 (beam/width 7' 6") that they would like to sell? I'm in Brooklyn but I'm willing to drive anywhere in LI, down-state...

Marine Survey in Waretown, NJ Area Recommendations

I second Bob Dunkelberger. "Dunk" did my survey when I purchased my 1801. He did a very thorough job and I learned a ton just talking to him. Good luck!

Pictures of the Completed Redo of 1800

Wow, beautiful job. Where did you get the leaning post? It looks like there's extra storage under the seat. -- Fly Rod

    Parker 1801 Upgrades

Hey Dan, Thanks for those replies. All of that info is very useful and will save me a lot of head-scratching when I get around to dumping the swing-back seat on mine. Do you (or anyone else following this thread) know of a pre-made leaning post that is similar to Dan's? Or do people...

    Parker 1801 Upgrades

Thanks for sharing that Dan. Ditching the cooler seat on my 1801 is also high on my to-do list. I have some additional questions about your beautiful leaning post. (1) What are the dimensions (width, height to seat top, depth)? (2) Is there storage in the seat bottom? (3) What was the...

Thin part of 1801 transom - Use caution mounting transducers

I've been meaning to add this to the Parker "user's manual" for a while. Since owners have started their spring upgrades, here's an issue that I dealt with last year. I have a 2003 1801 cc that I bought used 3 years ago. Last spring I changed the fish finder, which required removing the old...

    yamaha 115 storage on trailer

Did you read the owner's manual for your outboard? If not, I would highly recommend that you at least flip through the document and familiarize yourself with the contents. It contains a lot of information that can help you avoid very costly mistakes. If you don't have the manual, go to this...

    Wanted 1801 with 4-Stroke

Hey Tommy D, I just wanted to chime in on the NJ trailer title issue. I live in NY and bought an 1801 and a Venture trailer from a NJ seller. The seller had a "certificate of origin" which had forms on the back for transferring ownership. The first form showed a transfer of ownership from...

    1801 Rod Racks

Hi ParkerFI, Yes, the fly rod holders are made by a company called iFly. Here's their website: http://stores.theifly.com/StoreFront.bok Spinning rods/reels also fit in the iFly holders if you mount them high enough so that the rod butts can hang below. Rods can shift while underway, but I've...

1801 Question, where do you put the fish?

 The previous owner of my 1801 mounted a huge Igloo cooler in front of the console -- I would never have thought of this. Here's a picture: I generally do catch and release fly fishing. The front cockpit of the 1801 is so large that even with the cooler, there's still plenty of room to...

    1801 Rod Racks

A picture is worth 1000 words! Here's what I did for the fly rods. It wasn't cheap, but considering the cost of the rods, keeping them out of the way is important: I'm still scratching my head about the under-the-gunwale rod storage so any pictures you could post would be very useful to...

Trolling Spread around Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Thanks for all the discussion. I'm finding this very interesting. Actually, my current pursuit is *striped* bass on a 9 wt. I can't say I've been very successful, however, particularly when they're 40 ft down. The bluefish on top have kept things interesting, nevertheless. I've been...
