Andy,
I am always worried about that material baking into the gel coat and sticking. Has that not happened to you? Also, can you send a photo of the cup holders from under the birth? I am planning on cutting those same holes and am curious what it looks like.
Thanks for the reply. I got a quote from the local San Diego joint to measure it and do the work. The price was $500 which seemed a bit aggressive. Does this track with what you spent?
I was hoping the guy that was suggested in your post came through, since he has a template already. Based...
That sucks. It looks like they make a system specifically for Yamaha controls, but I don't know the specs. See below:

Update. We did some trouble shooting today, and the windlass was clicking but not working, as expected. We tested the 2 older batteries that were not replaced last go around (house batteries), and they turned to crap. Hooked up a small generator to my shore power, the boat is out of the water...
Right on. I wasn't sure if there was some sort of design change or issue. FYI, my 2007 was very well taken care of when we purchased it last year. I'd be open to slightly older models if they are in good shape and/or have been repowered. These boats are very well made.
We went through Ken Reeves with Propgods. He recommended a new model from Powertech. PBR4 - 15 1/4 dia, 18 pitch. We definitely lost some top end, but it still runs in the 40's. We haven't had a clean enough day to fully get up to top speed though.
Bro, we brought our planing speed from 23 mph to 15-18 mph on our 2820. We also added some bad ass 4 blade props though. We haven't done extensive testing or a long trip yet but from the sea trial, it is looking like we added some MPG savings too!
Here in socal we have fishdope. I pay for it, not a plug. It gives me that info and additional info such a plane Intel, other boat reports, ect. I also don't need to listen to music while fishing. I like pease and calm while offshore. The clicker ripping 1000 clicks per second is the best music...
