There is a mechanical paired kit that uses a single shift throttle mechanism. It is the kobelt 2091 and 2093. I installed it myself and it was really cool once finished. Beautifully designed. ~2k all in.
So long story short I was envious of the 'dual station' guys being able to drive from the roof.
I became motivated, after talking to kidfreediver (if I remember correctly), he gave me the last vote of confidence I needed to believe I could figure out the rigging myself. That conversation...
Really? Do they last long term in a salty environment? (My boat lives in the pacific ocean)
They seem fairly inexpensive... ~$150 (with the comparable Edson at ~$500)
Good to know for next time!
My follow up is that this wheel (a knock off of the Edson) rusts quickly (by quickly, after 6-months in a damp marine environment, it is starting to get rust spots in the spokes). I had some extra white awlgrip paint so I just painted the spokes. Wish I would have just sacked up and got a more...
Call ken at propgods. He should have a good idea what will work well for you. And sell you the right prop for the job. I have an F250 on a 2320 and run a Rev4 17 (I think) and had a mirage 18 before that.
Good luck!
I listened to Grouperjim and put the permatrim on my 2320. While I was convincing my 'old school' mechanic it was 'what i wanted'. He thought I was on drugs as we were drilling the lower unit with 12 holes on a perfectly good F250. Best decision I ever made with the boat , besides buying it...
Again, the amount of rust that has accumulated on the stock Parker steering wheel, has gotten me motivated to breath a little more life back into the boat. I bought a Sea Choice 15.5" steering wheel with a turning knob. The install was super easy and the boat again 'gets me more excited than my...
I got tired of looking at the rusted bucket look of the 'stock' light Parker installs. I eyeballed it and ordered a new bitchen LED light from marine beam.com. I even opted for the fancy titanium nitride finish so it will hopefully hold up a lot longer. (It's a brass look, and the coating is...
