    Lenco bennet retro fit

I'm still around! We talked via E-mail (the best way to contact me)! Bennett makes a retrofit kit for our BOLT electric systems that is super easy to fit. Plus the electric Bennett actuators carry a lifetime warranty. Tom McGow Bennett Marine

Parker 2120 falling off chine - whats the cure?

Is it possible you are running a bit too far bow down? This would cause the boat to bow steer and sheer off one side or the other, have you tried trimming the power trim out a bit? Tom Bennett Marine

    2000 2520MV REPOWER 2017 YAM XBF250

Tom used to usually recommend hydraulic Trim Tabs for wet slipped boats, we now have a lifetime warranty on the actuators for both our hydraulic and electric systems regardless of being wet slipped or not. When we designed the BOLT electric system we designed the actuators from scratch to solve...

    LENCO VS BENNETT TRIM TABS

Sorry, I'm late to the party, I still check in here time to time and you can reach me at [email protected] if you ever need me in a hurry :) We make both electric systems and hydraulic systems these days. Both systems have a lifetime warranty on the actuators (rams). Also both systems use...

    2801 Larger Tabs?

Our (Bennett) trim tabs have the mounting point for the actuators the same distance out from the hinge on both the 9" and 12". That way the 12'' just sticks out 3" more. The Tabs can be interchanged without having to change anything. Looking at his tabs I suspect it might be the case with his...

    2801 Larger Tabs?

Not pocketed, turns out they are 12 x 9 Lencos. I suggested putting 12 x 12 Lencos in their place. He is checking to make sure the actuators mount the same distance out on the Tabs If so it will be an easy swap for more lift without having to move the actuator or transducer locations. Tom...

    2801 Larger Tabs?

Hi all, my turn to ask a question! Have a customer wanting to put larger Tabs on their 2801. Currently have 12 x 9. Any of you have experience with that hull and Tabs? I think at least 18 x 12 or 24 x 9. But in theory could go larger. They may ask here too as I told them to checkout Classic...

How to use trim tabs on my 2520

Tom, Since you are new to using Trim Tabs you may find this helpful in learning how to use them to achieve the best results. All boats react differently to Trim Tabs and the best way to find out what works best for yours is to experiment, and remember, use short bursts of the controls and let...

    trim tabs 21 se

12 x 12 is good, 18 x 12 is great! As windknotnc correctly points out, the larger Trim Tab will generate the same lift when deflected to a smaller angle as a smaller one deflected to a greater angle. This makes for a much better lift to drag ratio. Tom Bennett Marine

    Bennett Trim Tabs Advice

Um, I thought I answered that :D The actuator is mounted 8-5/8" back from the transom on a 12" chord Trim Tab (as per the illustration). Yes it is on an angle piece that is riveted to the Trim Tab that distance out. I think I could have been clearer about that. The 8-5/8" distance from the...
