For anybody that has non-working set knobs. The ones that you can barely turn and the glass still slams shut in a chop.

I fixed mine with a m7x1.0 tap in the knob and of course a m7x1.0 die on the post.

Tight lines friends

Man, the Pony Express was faster than replies on here! lol
My window slammed shut (again) and for some reason, I had the handles in the lock position and when it did it sheered off the little cogs that lock the window closed. ($45 each)
While at the dealer getting those new handles the guy recommended the new bolt/stud/grip ring or whatever for what that knob actually tightens up around the shaft. Turns out at $22 each time four for the front windows, they used a one-piece stainless assy instead of plastic parts that lost grip over time. This is the piece that rings the shaft, and the one the knob tries to tighten on the shaft with . I bought them and installed in 20 minutes, no more "SLAM"! lol
If what you did is working? all good, if not ask about them!
