I have a 2013 2320 Pilot house. Prior to removing the factory wall carpeting can anyone tell me what the surface underneath the carpet is like?

does it really smell or just stained? Chances are some mold/mildew in there, spray it with a 50/50 bleach water solution and let it sit, will go away, then need to keep cabin ventalated to prevent it from happening again.

smooth.

Look at Beckson vent shades for berth windows.

Keep anchor rode hatch open when not boating

Buy cheap fabric softener, fill a pop bottle and make a wick out of clean rag

m2cw I would be carefull with bleach and perform a test area.

We used our portable Bissell carpet and upholstery cleaner. Might need multiple passes

Add a solar fan. Pull a cockpit pie plates and install over the hole

Regularly clean bilge with soapy (hot is water) and add some bleach, Simple Green, etc

Look for other ideas to keep boat ventilated in storage like cracking any windows without allowing water inside

If 110V power is near, look at a box fan and electronic timer
