Good morning, been looking at and spent a few hours on the water in a 2018 2120SC, enjoyed the boat and it took the 2-3 ft chop with ease. It has the F175. The engine data online for this boat shows only for the F150 & F200. Looking for your thoughts on the F175 with this boat? Thank you all.

Here are my thoughts, not related to the 2120. I purchased a 2320 with a 300, several friends purchased 250s. Everyone has commented on how they wish they had bought a 300. If the weight for the 175 and 200 are the same, go with more ponies. Just my opinion.

I have a 2005 2120SC with a Yamaha F150 and when I repower it will be a 225 (Max in the data plate I believe). The 150 is sufficient for most cases but when I’ve been in strong currents or bad conditions I’ve always wanted just a bit more power. Love the 2120 though.
