Oh no trouble in paradise. Trying to start my 04 150 2-stroke yamaha both battery's fully charged all connections cleaned. Go to crank starter turns over for a sec than dies and volts drop quickly at gauge. I couldn't check voltage at starter as I was solo. Starter would start to turn each time than stop. I tried to turn flywell by hand was hard to turn as I would expect? But could turn some by hand. Motor ran great when stored for winter in December and fogging oil sprayed in carb and cylinders. Any advice where to start? Should I jump directly from battery to starter? Thanks.

I used jumper cables hooked up to battery directly to starter still only spun flywheel slow guessing bad starter? Am seeing a voltage drop at starter from battery's 12.4 amps at battery and perks switch but when turn key only seeing 5 volts at starter. Could bad starter be causing voltage drop? Thought I would see 12 volts at starter when cranking?????

I am surprised others havent replied

check all connections- battery side, outboard side, etc, clean and tight
battery - how old ? it can be tested with load tester free at auto parts stores
or use a new battery
remove all plugs and see how it spins\
does the solenoid click when engaged ?
Remove starter but disconnect wires to battery first
inspect it
see if brushes ,contacts are on armature , clean contacts, etc
or take it a shop to test it
