I just bought an 1801. Buddy told me he highly suggests
Adding the SE 300 Hyrdofoil so I just had one installed

Any opinions on if it's really worthwhile ?

Probably should have run without first but it was
Having some other work done , so figured I would
Just get it done.

Does your boat have trim tabs?
That is usually the first step.

No trim tabs. Not really looking to Spend much more money

If I was to install trim tabs on on the 18 Parker
Would the 9x12 size be appropriate.

Amazon has a complete Lenco set for under $500.

Thanks

I would invest in a Permatrim first...quick and easy...a definitely a great fix!
When I had my 1801, I didn't feel that I needed tabs; but then again I mostly ran solo. Engine trim was sufficient.

I put Bennet M-120's on mine, 10 by 12 with the "batwing" design. Really, really helped. I'm a big dude (275) and usually fish with another big dude, plus do a lot of live bait fishing. Getting up on plane was definitely easier, plus it smoothed out the ride in a short chop. If i was doing it all over again I'd probably use the newer Bennet "bolt" tabs. My marina dudes really love them and said they do away with most of the issues with electric trim tabs. Installing the hydraulic unit on mine was a little bit of a pain, bent one of the lines and needed to replace.

1801 doesn't "need" tabs like all the bigger ones, but it sure rides better with them :D
