Looking for some help selecting the right size trailer for my 2000 2520 DV (Mercruiser Bravo 3 I/O). I know a lots been discussed here in the past ,and I'm looking for your experience and guidance. My assumptions is that the boat dry weight 5100 lbs, the motor and outdrive is another 1000 lbs. another 1200 lbs for fuel and gear.

I have 8000 lb venture trailer, and that had a blow last year. I almost lost it....Leaf springs broke on one side when the tire went down. Needless to say it was a long day.

I'm thinking about a 10000lb Road King. Interested to hear what you all have to say.

Thank you
Brian

I have a 2510 with twin 150's. I have a Road King 12,000 gross/ 10,000 net dual axel bunk trailer. Very happy with it, though if I had to do it again, I would have gotten torsion bars instead of leaf springs. Torsion bars sit lower and make launching and recovery easier.
