Is 60# torque for Mercury Rev 4 Prop ok for Yamaha F250

I installed the Mercury Rev 4-17 pitch on my Yamaha f250 and had to torque the castle nut to 65# to clear the holes for the cotton pin. I know Yamaha prop requires 40#, Mer Rev 4 recommends #55 but I had to use 60# and wondering if it will be ok.

Edit: 65# not 60#

Your goal is 40ft lbs.

I set my torque wrench to 38ft lbs. When it clicks. I have room to tighten it to the next line up hole.
 
I could only do 38# or 65# in order to clear the cotton pin but instruction from Merc is 55.
