Anyone repower there power with a merc verado?

Any input thinking about repower Ing with a 300 hp

In the Carolinas you see few Verados. Most dominant/popular outboards I see are Yamaha and Suzuki (80+% of the market). If you don't see many Mercs in your area then the other thing you should consider is the ease of mechanical services and parts. What's popular in your area will make that part easier also. JMO

Don't do away with etecs for repower. There repower option has taken the fleet.

If you go Verado, why not just the 350, it's the same weight as the 300, I think this could be an interesting setup!!
