I am repowering my 04 Parker 2520. It has a 2003 225 4 stroke. I am going with a suzuki. I have dual stations. Looking at either a 250ss with mechanical controls or a 300ap with fly by wire controls. With using my existing morse setup, the 250 is 4 grand less.

Really leaning towards the 300 with all new dual station controls. What are your thoughts? Will I get substantial performance gains with the 300 compared to my existing 225? Should I see big diff from the 300ap vs 250ss?

I'm thinking you have a mod v also as you had the F225 on it. If you had a deep v then 300 all the way for sure. Mod v, you could probably get by obviously with 250 as you have been using a 225. I've always been of the opinion that more power on a boat is better than less.

Absoulty.... The Boat will jump out of the water compared to that old motor.

I run a '95 2530 Med V......2013 DF 300APX It needs a 3 X 16 X 17 Suzzy prop. Bolt motor up with the Very Top hole with nothing in it ...... Top bolt goes in 2nd hole down from the Top.

Yeas I have dual stations....But not like most of you.

I have a Folding Crows nest on top of the hardtop.

Purchased the 300 APW and awaiting delivery/install. Not doing a gauge on the second station.

I'm very happy with my 300 Yamaha on my 1999 2520 MV hull. I carry a lot of heavy loads and it has been nice to have the extra power

How is the new Suzi treating you? I have a 2004 2520XL modified v, and have finally stacked up enough cash to get this done.
I'm in Maryland, thinking of using Danny's marine on our Eastern shore, best price here for Suzi 300, single binnacle, gauge upgrade is $20,414 out the door. I'll probably be doing this early spring and grab a 2019 model. I'm very curious as to what numbers you're getting on speed, fuel burn and what prop and weight you normally do? Thanks in advance!!

I am getting about 1.8 miles per gallon. I generally cruise about 4100 RPM now. Engine is nice. Quieter than the Yamaha. Feel free to PM me

My big rig has twin 300 Zukes and they are amazing motors when paired with the right props; I see 1.1-1.3 during cruise 26-30 knots deposing on seas approx 4K RPM. I run two other boats with twin 300 Yamaha’s and I can say hands down the Zukes burn less fuel and are smoother and quieter.
