Any captains considering fishing Hatteras that might want to add some "local knowledge" while fishing offshore.

I've lived in Hatteras for 10+ years and make 50-75 trips a year offshore.
I mostly fish gaffer dolphin, wahoo, and billfish.

Far from a mister know it all, I just enjoy a nice day out in the ocean.
I have tackle if needed, even some $$$ for fuel if necessary.
Not looking for a payday. Just a few fish if we get lucky.

I can rig bait, gaff a fish, and know a spot or two out in the deep.
I'm not an inshore guy at all.

Anway, If you'd like someone to help you get the hang of fishing out of Hatteras Inlet, consider dropping me a line.
It might be fun.

Catch 'em up.

Will give you a shout. We'll be down fishing the cobia shootout in May/June and will be making runs offshore on do-able days for the 2120.

blackfin bite (with the odd yellowfin) has been pretty decent the last few weeks.
decent size gaffer dolphin showing up.

we pulled off a nice blue marlin the other day.
a few sails & whites as well as at least one blue one released already this year.

its starting to happen.
