So I pulled the plug and ordered new electronics for my 2120 today. I picked up the following:

1. Furuno NavNet TZtouch2 12 Combination Chartplotter Fishfinder
2. Furuno DRS4D-NXT 24" 25w Solid State Radome
3. Furuno Bronze ThruHull Triducer 50/200kHz

My question is the placement of the screen, it is 12 inches diagonal and the 2120s have a small spot on the left of the steering wheel but I know it will be too small to mount there. I am thinking of having a fiberglass guy extend the dash to just fit the unit or a swing arm bracket that mounts to the side and comes out when needed. My biggest fear is placing it somewhere and it being a bad angle and start having neck pain from looking too far down or too far up.

Does anyone have any pics on how they mounted their larger units to work in the boat.

Thanks for any help that may be offered.

Why the tri ducer?

It was recommended by the folks at Furuno USA when I called and asking them about a package that would fit my needs.

A Tri-ducer has a paddle wheel. Is that for some special slow speed trolling?

GPS is not good enough?

The paddle wheel's are the 1st thing to go bad.
