Hello!
I have just finished installing the electronics on my 2017 Parker 2520 XLD. What do you think?

Raymarine ES128 Chart Plotter.
Raymarine Quantum Radar on a stainless steel Seaview mount, with external GPS antenna.
Raymarine CP470 Sounder with a M265LH in-hull transducer.
Raymarine Ray70 VHF (with AIS), remote Mic, and a Shakespeare Phase III 6225-R antenna.

Yes, the fan does fold up nicely out of the way, and also can be angled from side to side. The fan is a Sirocco II cabin fan, West Marine part number 17744996.
 
I have been a Raymarine fan for 15 years now. I am extremely familiar with all misc. interfaces and parts needed for the install. I also had a lot of parts left over cables seatalk NG parts from my last boat I just sold.
I also think Raymarine is superior. It's all personal preference though. Not knocking the others.
 
Just installed a Rigid M2 spot light, and custom made coaming bolsters.

Looks good. On my 2016 2520 I had a single center-mounted LED Go-light but it tended to blind me at night when pointed straight forward bouncing off the West Coast pulpit bow rail. I went with a Go-light in each front corner of the roof on my 2820, works much better for me.
 
Yep...The Gp-Light 2020 is the Go to light.....Versatile...swings 370deg.

Buy it from a 4 X 4 shop to get the same thing cheaper.
 
Ok.. Your post has sparked my interest in adding one of these spots onto my 2320. Just brainstorming here on mounting location..
Seeing as though there is a hatch that leads directly to the anchor locker, would it make sense to fabricate a platform that quick connects to the rounded railing extension on the bow pulpit and when I know I'm going to be out at night run the spot out the hatch and mount it temporarily for that trip. Keep it permanently wired and store it inside out of the elements when not in use..
Thinking the location of the mount would eliminate any reflection light off of bow rail and keep all of the beam at the most forward part of the boat...
Thoughts on that idea?

It would....But forward on the Pilothouse top should do it.

If you have a high rail....[Still don't know what a Ca. Rail is?] Then lift the light higher on a station.
 
That's a great idea, however I would not over engineer it. It works great on the hard top, and has little to no reflection back in my eyes. These lights are made to withstand the elements, so I would not worry to much about that. Plus the light will probably fail before the salt gets to it.
Having it permanently mounted assures it's always there when you need it.
 
As Parker calls it the 'West Coast' bow rail is higher than the standard rail, also seems thicker to me, perhaps 1.25"+. With a center mounted light on my 2520 when dodging crab pots the reflection blinded me aiming straight on. On my 2820 I put a light on each front corner, 100% better for my purpose, zero reflection.

LOL, I almost pulled the trigger earlier this year and absolutely should have,, my next upgrade this winter will be FLIR...

Hello, I just saw this post although it is quite old. I wondered where you had the coaming bolsters fabricated? I have a 2300CC and would like to have new coaming bolsters (and leaning post upholstery too!) made. Thank you! Larry
