My recent purchase of a Parker 2520 came with a Raymarine e80. I have found it to be the absolutely hardest nav unit I have ever tried to use. When navigating to a point when I get about 150-200' from the point it switches to a screen with no direction arrow. I am left trying to nav by getting the boat position to the point location by getting one symbol to the other. It refreshes so slow I am usually past the point I need to turn the boat or I am completely past the point all together. Is there a way to not lose the direction arrow as I near the point? I have an older 441 garmin unit I have started using to nav once I get close to the point and it is a breeze. It is older than the e80 so I would not think it refreshes any faster than the e80 does. Any suggestions or pointers? I like the rest of the features but the close in navigation.
