since i got my boat i have always had fuel gauge problems not reading correctly -- anyone else???
after boat comes to rest it says 3/4 tank--drift for awhile then 2 bars...this would be intermittent--just had 2nd fuel sender replaced

Hmmmmmmm, most marine fuel senders senders work off resistance, 33 ohms if full and 240 ohms when empty ... so maybe the wiring is corroded and builds up (never heard of it ...) resistance after a while ... not sure resistance is contributive like that ...

Otherwise I'd agree, a WEMA USA sender with new wires may be the only choice ...

Was this issue solved? I am having a very similar problem. I have a WEMA SSL unit with Yahama Digital gauge. I reads fine at start but after 10 to 20 minutes of running the bars start going all over the place and then eventually end up at one or 0 bars.
