Can anyone tell me if this leaning post came from the factory? I am trying to figure out of the previous owner made a change or not, worried about additional screws in the deck if it wasn't done by parker. Looks like its a Taco Marine Neptune Premium?

Taking a look at an overpriced used 1801 in RI tomorrow. Anything in particular I should look for on the 2004's. Plan to look closley at the deck and transom for soft spots.

Thanks.

I have the same leaning post in my 1801 and it's aftermarket. It's a Neptune II (due to tackle storage under seat).. I can't remember who the manufacturer is. I also have the backrest which slides into the outer two rod holders.

The boat was in decent shape for its age... I did have a couple concerns though. There were some spider cracks in the gel coat on the transom and there also was water pooled in the cutout for the scuppers when the boat was at rest. Is this something that is normal in the 2004 1801 or is this a sign that the transom is taking on weight and water? The engine was a 115 so its not due to the bigger 150. Pic below.

Would a moisture meter help determine if the boat has a water issue?

Thanks.

Still too far apart on price, but I might make an offer.

That's a nice leaning post, I had the livewell set up on my 2007 1801 so I had a custom made leaning post made to sit on top of that. It was awesome. You can probably search the topic on here and find the pictures. The only concern I will ever have with any Parker going forward is a leaking fuel tank, Inspect thoroughly and get a pressure test done. The water pooling is normal, did that on my brand new 1801 as well as my current boat 21se. That boat should be in the 12-14k range if it has a decent trailer.
