I have twin Yamaha 250hpdi's on my 2520. Not a DV. The previous owner got a "deal" on a set of new motors sitting in crates for a couple years. That said I would say it is definitely not neccessary as the boat will go 50-53mph. I only occasion let her have it on glass water for 5 minutes or so...

I feel your pain, I just sanded a thick layer of barnacles off mine and applied 3 coats of West System barrier coat. Now 1 more coat of West System barrier coat and then the Petit Horizons. No fun with the boat on a trailer!

Could you leave the plate mounted to the bow rail (and protected from SS) and mount the light upside down (from the bottom of the plate?) This way it wouldnt stick up over the rail and would be away from the anchor. Just a thought

Anyone have a marine antenna on their roof for a TV? What brand, and how's it work? I am thinking about putting a TV in the boat for fall fishing (Sunday's, watching football and trolling). Just wondering if anyone has any experience. Howard

Albe for sale BTW, 2nd weekend fishing the Northern Chesapaeke with the (new to me) Parker. 2 40" fish Sat. and 35" and 34" Sunday. Two nice days fishing until noon! Lots of friends and family fishing with the first time, they think I am a pro lol. Great times had by all!
