Opinions on re powering a 2310 with a Honda 225 4 stroke.
I have a line on a used 2008 Honda 225 4 stroke (Lefty)(300 hrs) from a pair take off with gauges etc. I am replacing a 1996 Johnson Ocean runner 225 2 stroke (265 hrs) on my 2310 cut out transom. Feeding and caring for a 1996 225 Johnson 2 stroke.
I tried to search for this subject and came up short. I have one season with this OB and would like opinions on how to care for it. I have read lots of suggestions for the Yamahas out there, but see very little on the older OMCs. In the interest of "making it last" what are some things I can do...- Cork

Hi, My name is Leon. Just purchased a 1996 2310- 225 Johnson. Purchased the boat on consignment from Parker River marina (Ma.). Can't say enough about the boat, great ride up to Portsmouth NH this past weekend. I have lots of questions and will look through the forum before asking.- Cork
