Parker Boats not Family owned anymore.

Love my Parker and love the Parker family! Its a great family owned company and not a corporate entity only interested in making money. Will always buy Parker as long as it stays the same type of company. The company has always been able to answer my questions fast and point me in the right...

    Repower advice

I am repowering my 04 Parker 2520. It has a 2003 225 4 stroke. I am going with a suzuki. I have dual stations. Looking at either a 250ss with mechanical controls or a 300ap with fly by wire controls. With using my existing morse setup, the 250 is 4 grand less. Really leaning towards the 300...

Planning for Marine AC for 2520

On the pilot house roof.....gave it some brief thought. If I used a mermaid M5 or M6, it could be run by a honda 1000 gen. That is 20lbs less than the honda 2000 generator. I think I remember that someone had a mermaid M5 and it didn't keep the cabin cool enough

Planning for Marine AC for 2520

A few years ago, I embarked on trying to get AC for my 2005 Parker 2520. I am in Virginia and the family does not enjoy boating during the summer heat. We use the boat mostly during the fall striper season. I may use it a total of 20 engine hrs per year. With adding AC, I am hoping to use...

Can anyone measure dome light on 2520?

My dome light broke on my 2003 2520. I left the light on the boat without measuring it. Can anyone measure the diameter? I want to buy a replacement. Found some threads where folks replaced with 7 inch and another with 5.5 inch LEDs. Any help is much appreciated.

    Thinking about an autopilot

I cannot find a lot of information on the new Lowrance autopilot other than from the Lawrence site. It is advertised to hold a track for trolling. Can't tell whether it will work with trolling speeds of 2 knots or so. This past season, I went trolling for stripes about 7 or 8 times. Next...

    Thinking about an autopilot

Priced out a few options. Garmin GHP 10 with pump will be a little shy of 3k. Like this unit quite a bit. But compared to the unreleased Lowrance autopilot, it may be 2k more. In speaking with BOE marine, the lowrance will be a low end unit with limited capabilities. Not sure if spending 2k...

    Thinking about an autopilot

Thanks. The lowrance may just be the best price solution. It looks like it is a new product. I wonder how well it works

    Thinking about an autopilot

I have a 2003 Parker 2520 with a yamaha 225 4 stroke. The electronics include a networked HDS 7 and HDS 10. I am thinking about adding an autopilot. I would use it to help steer the boat as I troll for stripers. I do not travel far from home port. Would a Raymarine EV-100 with a type .5...

    Another AC question. Need advice

Thanks for the link. I did see that post on my search. It appears to be one of the single hose models. I will see if I can get a two hose model to fit in same location.

    Another AC question. Need advice

I did the search on here and THT. Some of the posts are quite old and wonder if technology has improved at all. If concept 4 is out, which is the most ghetto/redneck option, how about #3. Use a portable AC unit with two hose system. It would be a 11 to 14,000 BTU unit. I would keep it in...

    Another AC question. Need advice

Need some advice from all you Parker gurus. I have a 2004 Parker 2520xl. Love it! Have two kids and wife (who doesn't like hot Virginia weather). I am contemplating adding an AC unit to the parker. I am not mechanically inclined. In looking at the threads on here and THT, I have come...

Parker livewell hose size. I have a leak!

My incoming water line to the live well has a leak though a small hole.. Does anyone have an idea to repair it? What size is the factory hose (inner diameter)? I tried a piece of rubber patch on the hole held tight with a hose clamp without success.

    New 2520 owner

After much dreaming about Parkers, I was able to convince the Mrs to let me get a Parker. With the advice of members here and on THT, I bought a 2003 2520 with Yamaha F225. Has less than 500 hours. I had the engine scoped and it had no signs of corrosion. I bought a new trailer to tow it on...
