Picked up a nice ARS while bottom bouncing this weekend. It was a surprise as we were shallower than I would expect to find them - only 90'. Shame it had to go back vs. come home with me.

This. I had the same problem and talked to Lewmar. The locker is not deep enough to provide adequate fall. Softening rope helps, but the only surefire way I’ve found is to try to pull the rode to the front of the locker. It’s a pain but once I do that it comes up every time

I have a 2013 2310 typically run with 3 or 4 guys, 30 gallon bait tank, 100 lbs ice in box and 1/2 to 3/4 tank. Never felt underpowered. With decent seas can cruise 25-30 mph at 2.7 to 3.0 mpg. If it’s sloppy can slog at 20-22 and 1.8 to 2.4. Been very happy with it.

With my brother in town for a week, we were determined to make it out. Weather cooperated enough to let us push out 25 miles to 100'. Forecast 3-4' at 7 seconds was pretty close. Spaced just enough to be able to run 25 knots without too much teeth jarring. Trolled for a couple hours before...

Nice sunset shot! Yea, those albies are a blast, especially on light tackle. They are still busting nearshore if you feel like chasing after them. I find it really frustrating as they are really fast and really picky when casting to them. We got a couple big ones, pushing 20 lbs, last Monday...

Made it to the Cape Lookout jetty since the wind prevented chasing kings. Action was steady all day and kept moving up and down the jetty to get away from the spikes until we found some better fish. Couldn't pick up that last spec to make our limit of 8, but ended up with mostly 16"-18" fish...

Yea, I've been dying to get out. I hear the mahi bite is hot if you can get out there. The weather has not been cooperating, and the weatherman couldn't tell you if it was going to either. I'm thinking of trying to get out to the 100' line and look for some grouper this weekend wind permitting.

Didn't want to deal with the hordes and take out the boat, so headed to a favorite spot away from the crowds. We were only folks at this spot. Turned out to be a good call!! Hope this still counts.... I don't know what it is about my pics, but they never orient correctly

Gotta love a big rockfish!! I hate we don't get them down here anymore. Not in the ocean anyway. And the ones in the river are certainly not that big!! Nice job, congrats!!

Gotta love them choppers!! Nice work. They have been catching them big boys down here too, from the surf to the shoals. I've missed them the couple times I've been out.
