installed a windlass on my 2320

so far no problems at all wih the windlass. yes once in a while it will hang at the chain/rode splice but i just let it down a few feet and back up. i probably didnt need 400' of rode but would like to have it for wreck fishing offshore. i was worried about the chain slapping the pulpit but have...

    Water in Transom

Water in the transom is bad but if the transom shows no signs of weakening you are ok for the time. I had an 88 Steiger that had a wet transom when I got it and ran it for 8 years and never showed signs it was weak. Granted it was a work boat with little resale value. You will eventually have to...

    Proud New 2120 Owner

Congrats on your new boat. The pro fish 700 is a free fall unit. I installed mine myself for 1500.00 including 400' of 8 plait, 25' chain. 40' 6awg wire. The hardest part was drilling the 3" hole thru the bow. Use the search field and look up windlass and my user name and the post will come up...

figured this might help someone as i had asked several questions on here prior to doing the install. so far it is working flawlessly. hardest part was drilling a 3" hole in the pulpit. its about 3" thick. used 40' of #6awg. total cost was 1500.00 for everything needed.

    Pilot house door knob/lock

Is there a better alternative to the door knob on the pilot house door? Boat is a 2005 2320. Even when locked the door will not stay latched. Underway, at the dock, heck even when sitting on the trailer a stiff wind will cause the door to unlatch. I love everything about the boat but this...
