I did the seals no problem and in the water. I also didn't require any heat for the bracket. The kit comes with two seals -do both of them. And if you need to buy the tool, get it but the chances using it again should be slim. Cheers, wp.

I have the same boat and thats not my experience. If you come to a sudden stop, you will get some water to the cowling but momentarily. The 23DV is a light boat up front.. Look for posts and you will find it detailing this as a whole.

I have to say that BKF is amazing. Its solved countless problems for me- at home and on the boat! It is a bit abrasive though!
