I am having an intermittent issue with my auto pilot. It randomly turns hard to port or starboard when engaging auto pilot. Sometimes it happens right away and other times it happens hours later. I know it is an older unit, but if it is a simple fix, I'd rather not replace the system. I have been researching online and this symptom is often the rudder feedback. I believe Simrad used the LF3000 when this system was being sold. The Seastar AR4502SI Smartstick has also been recommended as a replacement.
