Boat For Sale 2018 Parker 23SE like new

I am helping the owner who is a friend and charter client who goes with me weekly sell his Parker 23SE he doesnt use. Only 145 hours and dealer serviced at Tri-state in Maryland. Deal is a private party deal direct with him. He owns outright with title in hand. Asking $78,000 or best offer...

    New MFD

I am a huge fan of touch screen, especially for navigating. When in seas, I anchor my hand on the side of the unit to touch where necessary and it is really no different than trying to push a button or turn a knob. ( I have both a button unit and a touch screen on my boat) Also the screen is...

Trolling Motor on 25XX or 23XX Pilothouse?

Pete has his motor mounted on the side like that because he is a Humminbird and Minn Kota pro staffer and longest Minn Kota shaft currently is 72". It works for him because he often has people casting off the bow in shallow water and he was also able to keep his bow rail. Judge from the...

    Recommendations for a GPS/Sonar/Chart plotter

Call Nick at BOE marine. He will talk you through your uses and what will likely fit your needs. I have to say that if you really want shallow water imaging, you should check out the new Humminbird stuff. They are taking over a large segment of the freshwater market and starting to make good...

Furuno navnet 3D no longer supported ?

NN3D system is still supported, just no longer sold or marketed. I have gotten to know the East Coast general manager of Furuno USA by meeting him through fishing and he told me that because of many big Govt contracts, Furuno tries to support their units up to 10 years after they are...

Advice on radar mount on 2820 XLD

I would raise it up based on the advice above for performance. However I wanted to note that the Fantom is a solid state radar and will not harm you like a magnetron radar....

My boat is sold and I'm looking for a 2520xl

My neighbor is likely selling his 1 year old 2530dv with twin i4 200’s. Boat is loaded with Garmin electronics, hull color, etc. What is your budget?

    sonar help

I get to run a variety of boats with different systems. There are different strengths and price points. Since we are mostly talking Garmin in this thread I would say that I like Garmin better than the Simrad/Lowrance systems for fish finder (there are other things I like better about the...

Driving at Night in pilot house

By pressing the power button on my Furuno TZT2 I can select a night mode. It changes the background colors to much darker colors and also dims the brightness. The darker you can get it in the boat, the better visibility you will have through the glass. At night I rely heavily on my radar. I...

    New all in one

They all have their pluses and minuses Personally I run all Furuno electronics even inshore because they are stable, long supported and most trust worthy IMHO. They dont have entry level technology like single band CHIRP, low power down and side scan, etc. in cheap units. However the technology...

Anyone have a 2820 with thru-hull Garmin transducer?

The GT52HW is a great transducer for the Garmin units in the bay. Too bad it didnt work for you. Hopefully the through hull works out.

    6" or 12" Radar Mount on 2820?

I would go with the 12" mount on a Parker. This way you get the beam higher and above the heads of those in cockpit. With the lower roof line due to the step down into the wheel house it is probably best to elevate higher so the transmission beam isnt going into the heads of those in the...

    Quick radar question

With the no transmit zone, you lose what may be coming up behind you. Just elevate the radar on a mount so the beam goes over your heads. The higher the radar the further you can see too. My radar is mounted up so I can see behind me with my extended hard top I run a Furuno 4kw 24" UHD...

    Quick radar question

Raise it up. You don't want the beam to be hitting you in the cockpit, especially your eyes. The low roof line of a Parker is usually at face level. A wedge is advised too.

Need some advice picking out an autopilot setup for my boat.

Get the Furuno 711c OB. Several of my friends have them and they work great. It will hold in a cross wind on the Chesapeake Bay while trolling with a single. Plus the interface will work best with your TZT2. Rumor is that they are coming out with another small boat pilot soon too. here is a...
