Do you have lead acid batteries? I want to move mine forward (parker 2310), but I worry about damaging the batteries by subjecting them to more "pounding"...
Bump....any ideas? I'm in a similar situation. In slip full time, I rarely charge the batteries with a noco.
I am thinking of bonding all metals like thruhulls, transducer together. Then hook that to the negative side of battery terminal, then hook up a hanging zinc to battery. A lot of work, idk,
easy peasy. done and done. can't see it obviously but we used a bronze drain plug housing with bronze screws both from a marine shop. I expect very little corrosion. I have no clue why people insist on using stainless screws to mount their garboard drain!!!!
Did need tape thread on the...
Same problem here. What tool did you use to sand\grind out the area? I was thinking of picking up a 2inch DA sander. Here's a picture so far, been using a dremel but it's pretty slow going
Yup, I got some foam rollers from lowes when I went to get their nonskid. Used one of the rollers to apply awlgrip 545, and yup, it literally exploded and spewed foam bits. But thankfully I'm putting non skid down later so I don't care at all!!!!!!
I finished putting the primer on. 3 coats. Anyone think it's a terrible idea to leave it as is for the summer and top coat it next winter? I'm running out of time before the boat has to be back in the water and i have other projects to finish
Thanks, yeah for the inside I am not sure I will need to grind out the cracks and pealing gel coat, but there is so little room, I can barely get one arm in there....I have the snake attachment on my dremel
