Fresh water and it's effects on encapsulated wood.

I was talking to my buddy that is a marine diesel mechanic. He works on the biggies and knows a lot about boats. Now, my biggest concern when buying a used Parker was the gas tank. Did not want to buy something and have to spend a fortune replacing the tank. I was mentioning to him the other...

    Starboard

Anyone work with this stuff? Can it be cut on a table saw? I have a small woodshop and was wondering if it could be cut and routed. Thanks.

Armstrong vs. Tempress vs. T-H Marine Deck Plates

The stainless ones are carbon copies of the 6" round plastic ones that are in there as a stock item on all Parkers. I'll have to go by there soon to see if they're still there. Not sure they would be any better or worse than the plastic ones, I just remembered seeing them at a marine surplus place.

Armstrong vs. Tempress vs. T-H Marine Deck Plates

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever considered the stainless inspection covers? Here in O.C./Newport Beach they have a place called " Minnie's Yacht Surplus ", the place is huge and I could get lost for weeks in there and think I had died and gone to heaven. I wonder if these ones they have...

For those considering making custom seat/tackle storage

Here is another custom seat. Actually it also doubles as another bed. The gentleman that owns this boat is also a well known local writer with two books to his name. Below is a link that is a chronology of how he rigged his new Parker in, I believe, 2004...

    Open Cabin Modification

Wow, cool!! I guess my dealer didn't know what he was talking about. No surprise there. Good luck and I hope it turns out better than your wildest dreams. You are a braver man than I!!

    Fuel tank leak

.......and two rows of rocket launchers is just NEVER enough.

    Fuel tank leak

Yeah but Whalin Dave spent over $5K on his replacement. I think I would rather have the sealant to worry about. I like your Maycraft. I was seriously thinking about buying the 25 or 27. In fact I flew from CA to NC and toured their factory. Ken May spent about two hours taking me around and...

    Fuel tank leak

I love my boat and all, but I will never understand why Parker doesn't have a removable section like most other boats do over the gas tank. I used to have a Seaswirl Striper and had to remove it one time. It was so easy and fast to do what I wanted to do and just screw the deck/cover back on. I...

    Open Cabin Modification

I hate to rain on this parade but I talked to a dealer about this exact project. He told me that he had a customer do this and it was a nightmare. Apparently the open back models are reinforced much differently than the closed back and if you do remove the back wall you could jeopardize the...

    Poorman's Parker----

Last year, when I was trying to decide what boat to get to replace my 2601 Striper, I flew to N.C. to tour the Maycraft factory. I didn't tour the Parker factory because I was familiar with their boats already. I had one of the nicest experiences at the Maycraft factory. Ken May showed me all...

Just a 50yr that wanted a Parker Pilothouse

WOW!!! You are to be commended for the artistry of your work. The damn thing looks like a factory job, not a diy'r. I'm amazed at your quality craftmanship and I humbly bow to your magnificence!!! Also, is that your garage? What I wouldn't give to have a garage like that.......

Endorfins here, proud So Cal Parker owner

Hello everyone, glad Dale put this together and we all have a place where we can "Jones" about Parkers. I live in CA and found my present boat in New Jersey. I drove cross country and towed it all the way home and had a blast. It is a 1992 2520DV that has a full custom flybridge and brand new...
