    Jack plate on Parker 1801?

PM me if you’d like. I’ve gone through all of your issues with my 1800.

New idea to cover up notched transom

Thanks if the pull plugs become a pain, I will try the THs but being bigger they may not fit! I had to trim one of the existing scuppers because of jack plate.

New idea to cover up notched transom

Yes. I had the ping pong balls on a previous boat. Problem I had was any tiny piece of line, kelp, eel grass, etc and they would leak. Here on the West Coast we have a lot of weeds floating around. The pull plugs should be great for my application getting in and out of boat as well as launching...

New idea to cover up notched transom

Correct that situation arises globally anytime there is wind, swell, and current. Closed transom is always the way to go but unfortunately not all boats have them.

New idea to cover up notched transom

Thanks. New Merc is 45lbs heavier so I made some scupper pull plugs to use while getting in and out of boat. Should keep the water out with the extra weight climbing up the ladder.

New idea to cover up notched transom

    Here’s what I did.

    Parker 1800 1998.

I re-wired my 1800 last year and used a Blue-Sea-Systems-WeatherDeck Waterproof Panel. I found a green wire laying in the bilge also! As Fishaddict stated, it goes to the ground for the fuel tank. I believe I traced it up to the port side fuel fill. Definitely check out pelagic2530’s...

    1991 1800 CC transom height

I’m in Baja and can’t access my boat to find transom height. Blew up my motor the day before I left and need to order a new one. Parker cannot answer my question due to “corrupted files”!!! I have also spent an hour calling Parker dealerships on east and west coast for zippo. Pretty simple...

    2005 DF140 prop on 1801 Parker

Thanks i have been looking at them now that I know what to look for. Misleading when you search Suzuki OEM prop and Solas pops up. Also had a prop shop tell me Solas was a Suzuki prop! That’s why we ask the questions here. Thanks

    2005 DF140 prop on 1801 Parker

Agree, that is why I was looking for a 4 blade SS prop but they don’t have them for my motor. Now possibly a 15” pitch as stated. Very difficult to find an oem prop. Suzuki website gives a part number and when searching for part, first site shows oem part number Solas! Definitely not happy with...

    2005 DF140 prop on 1801 Parker

Yes Tom I can use my trim tabs as well but was trying to compare apples to apples through this whole engine height escapade. Still feels sluggish and that was with no weight! Wanted to get a 4 blade SS but only found the cheap aluminum ones.

    2005 DF140 prop on 1801 Parker

OK in a nut shell. I reached 6200 rpm and 31.5 mph last week with engine set way high, 3" above keel. I even had all the drag from the fairing/transducer but motor was way too high and cavitating. So I removed (broken and cracked) fairing/transducer and glassed over the hole. Lowered motor to...

    2005 DF140 prop on 1801 Parker

Tomc585 Sorry skipped your question about level. Dead center on keel. Was 3/4” above keel and have moved up/up/up and now 3” above! Only reason I continue to raise is chasing the cav plate above waterline at plane. I am now suspect of my transducer fairing throwing water over plate and that...

    2005 DF140 prop on 1801 Parker

Thanks for the feedback. Yes mph and I figured over 40 with the 140 was not asking too much. I would be happy with 35! Are you reaching 6200 WOT? With your cav plate 1/2” above keel, is your cav plate above waterline while planing? I am considering another factor with drag below with a broken...
