Nice work! The 2320 extended has some trouble areas but overall it’s a fantastic layout. My biggest complaint is the very heavy stern and submerged scuppers. I relocated my batteries (2) from the stern to amidships and that helped. I still get a bit of water on deck when I’m out with some of my...
I own a 2330 as well and they are quite rare. From my research about 17 total were produced during their (limited) production. I have seen a couple come up in the past few years but be prepared to move fast. Current pricing is quite high and be prepared to pay 30k +. Best of luck with your...
Congrats! I have the open back on my 2320 and love it. Initially I was worried about having an open back but after running it for a few seasons I would not want the closed back.
That’s a good point. Improper material prep can cause powder coating to lift. It’s generally not as big of a problem with freshwater vessels but saltwater can speed up the process (corrosion) much faster
I’ve considered black and have had some of our products finished with that but not sure it would match the boat. I’m considering a silver color (very similar to GM rims). Here is a picture with one of our rod trees in black. We tried a set with a clear coat and it turned out kinda odd looking...
Thank you. The windows are to the best of my knowledge factory black frames. They are showing their age and I’d like to replace all of them here at some point
Had some time this evening and did some test fitting. I’m going to add a center support as well and a some detail work to finish it up. Undecided still whether to leave natural or have it powder coated. Yes that’s snow on the ground 😖
Nice work! Perhaps the only advice I could
Offer you is if the new compartment does not have a physical drain build some pads for the batteries to sit up on. Inevitably every hatch/compartment seems to collect (or attract) moisture.
I moved (and added) the house batteries in the cockpit area under my center hatch. My starting battery is under the helm seat. Moving them forward helped out getting some weight off the stern.
As much as I’d love to say yes i would have to pass on a tower build (second station style I presume). I am located in Michigan so locally the demand for towers is basically none and to ship an oversized structure may be cost prohibitive as well. I will build custom arches and have for some...
