Searching for an '83 Souwester 23CC that was being renovated

Back in '07, I sold my 23' Souwester CC. I was bored this morning and started searching for it. Found it in the Classicmako project forum. Was excited to see that it was being renovated and would have new life soon. Well, went to lunch came back, did a little more searching to see if I could...

    1983 Parker/Souwester 23' CC **SOLD**

Yep, 3500 was a screamin deal. But Scott from Alabama just took her home yesterday for less than that. I'm going to give him this site and maybe he'll post some here. Congrats to him.

    1983 Parker/Souwester 23' CC **SOLD**

I really need to get rid of this boat. It's doing nothing but sucking money out of my pocket in the form of storage fees. Plus, she hates me for not being in water in the past 2.5 years. 1983 Parker Souwester 23' CC. Twin 90hp Johnsons. One's an '87, one's a '98. They ran fine when I put...

Let's see your Parker on a trailer

I need to see some pictures of Parkers on a trailer. Specifically, I need to see what the center is resting on. Mine doesn't actually rest on anything. It's completely supported by the two bunks on the sides. I wasn't worried about this until my neighbor said something. When in place, it is...

    Parker Logo

When I first bought my Souwester, I talked to Farron Peffer about it. At the end of the conversation, I asked him about where I could get some decals. He got my name and address and dropped a couple in the mail to me. No charge. They've gone to another classicparker member now, but if I were...

    2000 Parker 21SE

I thought the same thing when I read that ad. The funny thing was that they had one of those DNR ruler stickers on the front. The t-top and gunnels really looked naked w/out any holders.

    2000 Parker 21SE

Saw this 21SE in Murrells Inlet this weekend. Looked to be in great shape. Not sure about the spray rails. Weird thing about it is that there are absolutely no rod holders on the boat. $20,500 http://www.usedboats.com/index.php?site ... tId=910528

    Leaking fuel tank

Talked to Farron Peffer at Parker today. He was a ton of help, except, they don't have any drawings from boats as old as mine. A couple of recommendations I'll pass along. One, he said if the deck is still strong, reuse the cut out piece for the deck. Just grind the sides like GW204 said and...

    Leaking fuel tank

That doesn't seem too hard. Once I get the fiberglass/epoxy thing figured out that is. Thanks, GW204. Now, another question. Sometime in the future, I may consider a t-top. How should I go about preparing for that in the future? I was thinking, instead of 3/4" ply for the deck piece, go w/...

    Leaking fuel tank

I asked this on Classic Mako, and I'll ask here too. Once I get to the point where I'm replacing the deck, I'll completely coat good marine plywood w/ epoxy, lay it down and glass over it. My question is this. How do I secure it to the plywood stringers?

    1983 Parker 23' CC

OK, before I end up w/ an uncompleted project in my driveway, I'm going to try to get rid of this thing. As of a month or so ago, this has become a project boat. One or both of the fuel tanks needs to be replaced. With a little experience, it shouldn't be a hard task at all. I'm dropping...

    Leaking fuel tank

That brings back a memory from my high school years. I was with a friend of mine in line to fuel up his Grady 209 at a local filling station his dad had an account with. In front of us, one of the attendants was filling up his buddies souped up Mustang. His buddy had the car running, revving...

    Leaking fuel tank

I am planning on glassing over it completely. That's the way it is now, and I think it'd be dumb for me to try to change it. On my current tanks, the fill is at one end, and the other fittings are at the other end. Is this normal? This requires four pancake hatches in the deck. I would...

    Offshore Hog Sanpper catch

Nice catch. I understand hog snapper is one of the best tasting catches from the deep blue sea.
