Anyone removed the companion seat off the storage compartment and mount a tackle station there on top where the seat was? No one ever sits in the seat behind pilots seat anyway and I could use that space for a tackle station. Anyone have any pics of what they might have done there? Thanks.

Thanks for the info, Byran. Your cousin's engine explosion happen when he shut off the motor or underway. Just curious, don't want to fool around with gas leaks and a hot engine. I'll get it checked out. Mike

When I shut off the motor on launch day I had gas steadily dripping from above the injectors. Had it happen a couple of years ago and have been fine until the other day. When I talked to my local Yammy tech two years ago, he told me it was the valve sticking that is supposed to relieve pressure...

My washdown pump is shot and I'm asking if any of you found a better place for it and if you replaced it with the same pump or upgraded to something else. It lasted 5-6 seasons before totally rotting out. Kind of a tough spot they put it.

I had a 25 MV with a 225hp 2 stroke and would not have wanted any less. I think a 150 would be seriously underpowered and be working way too hard pushing a 25PH. You could probably get by with a 200hp but the smaller motors would have to work so much harder especially with 4 guys and a full tank...

I have an XL w/225F 41-4200 @ 18kt. 45-4600 @ 22-24kt. Wide open 55-5600 33knots. My fuel burn is about 2mpg or slightly better in normal conditions. The XL's are @ 5600# dry weight (heavier than DV) so you can't really compare numbers. I would expect you to get 2mpg or close to it at cruise...

Last year around midnight after a few silver bullets, I made my way down to the boat and into the v-berth. As I started to lay down I looked across and there was a coon looking right back at me. He chose flight over fight and flew out of the boat. Straightened me right out. :shock:
