Been following this post as I am about to replace my wash down pump as well. Would it be wrong to eliminate the breaker at the panel and install an in-line fuse near the pump? I have decent access to that area and seems to be a simpler solution....

Although it would be nice to have access to the information the MFD can accumulate with engine information....Logging of all that information can be handy for evaluating fuel economy, trip planning, performance, etc.
My transducer is thru hull but my previous one was too. I think the improved performance is due to the newer, more powerful transducer. The performance of the old one would deteriorate at around 10 -15 knots.
The dust cover fits very close to the bezel of the screen...not much of an overlap at all. You can go to the Simrad website and get all the dimensions there.
Engine gauges are not running through the Simrad. My engine is "old school" Volvo diesel. I'm not sure it would be possible but it would be nice if I could.
