Pilothouse Cockpit Steering Stations / Older hulls

Just a PSA. I've been in touch with four "local to me" dealers and one told me they are no longer available for my hull. The other three said they actually are available and the price is $625. So, for those that have been looking, that seems to be the street price on the free standing station...

    Propping a ModV 2520 - Zuke 300 Power

Need to choose a prop soon, re-powering in a few weeks. Old OX66 225 was running a 3 blade, 15X17 Yammy. No access to a trailer and swapping props hangin off the stern next spring would not be a joy. Any help in getting it right the first time? No bracket, hangs on the transom. 25" LU

    2520 XL vs 2520 XLD

I have noticed a few NEW boats lately, sitting on dealer lots that are definitely deep V hulls, but the emblem on the side of the pilot house clearly just says "2520". Wondering if they may be slowly phasing out the 16 degree hulls? Obviously just speculating, but I thought this was an...

    Prop help

Waiting to hear back from Ken at PropGods but thought I would ask here also. Switched to a 4 blade this year and yesterday had it out for the first time. The engine is a 1999 Yamaha 225 OX66. Boat is a Parker, 2520 Sport Cabin, 14 degree deadrise hull. Engine specs says max RPM to be...

    How to fix this?

I clean it up every spring and by end of season, it looks like this again. Thoughts? Tricks?

So I found these in my bilge yesterday. Concern?

I'm the original owner, 1999 2520 MVSC. Everything is original except electronics updated from time to time. I keep the bilge dry, even going so far as to sponge up what little accumulates in the forward bilge before I leave at the end of the day (which is always less than a half inch maybe)...

I gave my 18 year old OX66 a vinegar flush

I had the lower unit off due to a recent complete water pump job. I pulled the tstats and put the gaskets and covers back on. I filled a trash can with 8 gallons of straight vinegar. Hooked up a pump I bought and pumped straight vinegar into the flush attachment. As I suspected, 99.9% of it came...

I DID IT! NO MORE WINDOW WATER SPOTS!!!!!!!

Well, I finally got the combo that works. My original 1999, 2520 has so many water spots on all of the windows, visibility was TERRIBLE! I tried everything, nothing would cut through the stuff. Well, Shurhold Buff Magic and bronze wool did the trick. The pics are good, but do not do the job...

What size hole for an epoxy "plug" ?

I am going to be mounting a radar pedestal in the coming weeks on the pilot house roof of a 2520. The four bolts are 3/8". Also, best style bit for the drilling? Thanks. Also, do you think this could be done in one day? I only get down once a week so this could be a "2 week project" to...

    Radar mount behind spotlight

Radar newbie here and I am going to install a Garmin 24 dome on top of a pilot house roof. Unfortunately, it will have to go directly behind the spot light in the pic. The spot light is exactly 10" high. The radar will be mounted on a 6" tower with a 4 degree down angle. The dome itself is just...

    Tabs on a 2520

Been wanting 24X9 Bennett's on my 2520 for a long time. May have the marina do it for me this fall before I bring the boat home for the winter. I trust them and they do nice work (saw a recent install by them) plus they have a HUGE garage and hydro trailers to easily bring it indoors if the...

Blue Seas has a new "toy"

Ordered this a couple of months ago from Jim at BOE. Wasn't available until now, just came today. Very impressed with the quality. This will clean some things up for me with minimal work. Fused right at the terminal and includes labels..

    How to fix this?

The bracket that holds my porta potti down had rusted screws for years. Strange because it never gets wet up there and these crews sure don't look to be stainless. Anyway, I have the new bracket, and I had to destroy the old one to get the heads exposed enough to get a pair of pliers around...

    5200's Achilles Heel

HEAT! So I had this antenna mount that I foolishly sealed with 5200 several years ago. Have since learned my lesson. :x I needed to get it off to open the hole up for a larger diameter antenna cable. I was dreading it. I had de-bond but no way that stuff was going to seep under the mount...

    Texture of dash board gelcoat

So I have about 8 screw holes I need to fill from my electronics upgrade. See photo. They aren't very big. I have Parker gel coat. I know they will never look "new", but I'd like them to look "acceptable" for a novice. I have successfully filled transducer screw holes in the transom before...

    Slam Hatch "Liners"

Anyone ever use one of these? http://tempress.com/#!/~/product/catego ... id=1527539 Would allow easy storage in the 13 X 23 hatch in front of the outboard (although would probably be wet, no)?
