My first never ending boat list!

Been following this post as I am about to replace my wash down pump as well. Would it be wrong to eliminate the breaker at the panel and install an in-line fuse near the pump? I have decent access to that area and seems to be a simpler solution....

Looks great! Who's doing your seadek?

    New guy checking-in

I've seen that boat parked there for quite a while. Always admired it. Enjoy your time on the water with it.

    Bean bags

Been thinking about getting a couple of bean bags for passenger seating on my 2520. Saw an ad for the Ocean Tamers and they look pretty good. They have round, tear drop, arm chair, and wedge. Wondering if anyone has any advice as to which style they prefer?

Parts For Sale 6" inspection ports

Bought some new inspection plates that look to be more water resistant than what I have. I think they are what Parker is now using. unfortunately, there is not enough meat left around the opening for the mounting screws to bite into on my deck. They are anywhere from $18 to $22 each but you can...

    2320 kayak rack

I built a removable aluminum rack system that will hold several kayaks or paddleboards that I use when I escort races. Takes about 30 minutes to install and very sturdy.

    2300DV Upgrades

I would move the autopilot to the front of that list.

New Electronics install on my 2520

I agree 100% Although it would be nice to have access to the information the MFD can accumulate with engine information....Logging of all that information can be handy for evaluating fuel economy, trip planning, performance, etc.

New Electronics install on my 2520

My transducer is thru hull but my previous one was too. I think the improved performance is due to the newer, more powerful transducer. The performance of the old one would deteriorate at around 10 -15 knots.

New Electronics install on my 2520

The dust cover fits very close to the bezel of the screen...not much of an overlap at all. You can go to the Simrad website and get all the dimensions there.

New Electronics install on my 2520

Unfortunately, my front windows do not open.

New Electronics install on my 2520

Engine gauges are not running through the Simrad. My engine is "old school" Volvo diesel. I'm not sure it would be possible but it would be nice if I could.

    Fuel tank longevity

I replaced the tank on my '97 2520 DVSC when it was only 8 years old. The previous owner had a leaky bait tank hose (installed on deck directly above fuel tank) so apparently that compartment became completely filled with saltwater. I believe once that foam gets saturated, it will never...

New Electronics install on my 2520

After several years of kicking screens and enduring the frustrations of my aging electronics, I finally pulled the trigger. Went with the NSS Evo3 12" screen, Halo 20+ radar, Airmar SS175M chirp transducer, AP44 autopilot. Couldn't be happier. The radar sees everything down to birds sitting on...

    Need gelcoat help

Thanks for the replies. On the fourth try, After applying the gel coat, I placed the hatch out in the sun and sprayed a heavy coating of wax on it. Let it sit outside all day. The next day I cleaned up all the wax off and found that all the repair areas seemed to cure OK. I may have to go over...

    Need gelcoat help

So I bought the small container of Parker gel coat and catalyst from Cecil Marine. I have a few small gel coat repairs to a fish hold hatch. According to the directions on the catalyst, I should use 12 drops per ounce of gel coat in my temperature range. After a day and a half, all the repairs...

    Running at night

I just put a towel over the dash board and peek under it at regular intervals. Not very high tech but works for me.

What you have here are the side window screens, one port one starboard as well as the screen to fit the hatch over the v-berth. *Note* this is off a 1997 25 Deep Vee sport cabin. The size/style of the windows have probably changed since then. The side window screens measure 16 5/8" tall X 27...
