Mine are under the forward seat. Doesn't really take any critical space, and are as far forward as possible.

I have posted this advice in several places...move your batteries to under the forward console seat. You'll be amazed at the difference.

It always kill me how everyone automatically suggests bigger trim tabs, perma-trim, changing the engine mounting holes, etc. when BY FAR the biggest impact is from moving the batteries. Glad you did it.

Agree. Haven't had the opportunity to see the boat in person. Only on video, and even that wasn't terrific. I gotta say, though, that on video they look pretty slick, just not my style. Sad to hear that the quality is down as well.

If the livewell is like on my 23DV, then no. In fact, in order to use it for any type of storage you need to be sure to shut the thru hull valve or it can fill with water just by running.

J&W Marine, Salem, MA. They did not replace the switches, etc. Simply relocated the batteries from the stern of my 2300 to the forward part of my console. A later project was replacing the conventional battery switch with an isolator version.

I had mine done a few years ago (batteries to console). Just looked at my old bill and it was just over $600 total. Made a WORLD of difference how the boat rides and keeps them out of harm's way. However, it looks like folks have had success with other methods as well.

I have a 2300 DV and have a Suzuki 250 with a three blade prop. I randomly had that happen to me this summer and determined the engine was trimmed down to the max and for whatever reason, that was binding up the steering. A little upward trim and it was fine. May not be the same for you.
