    Suzuki DF250AP 2023. 1999 2320 no bracket Turning Point 4X15x15

It was 5 years ago, small volume dealership who didn’t sell a lot of engines. I suspect they were looking for some Winter work and beat all my other quotes. No big crime, I swapped to the 16 in under a year and have a spare if I ever need a propeller asap. Lesson learned to do my homework...

    Suzuki DF250AP 2023. 1999 2320 no bracket Turning Point 4X15x15

I couldn’t agree with you more. I was GUILTY of not doing enough research on propellers before I repowered my 2005 Parker 2520SL with a white 2019 Suzuki DF300APXX. No bracket, 30” leg on notched transom. Dealership put on a 15.25” x 19 Watergrip that did what it was supposed to in terms of...

    Hi

Could be a few things with the raw water washdown. Depending on type of pump, it may have disconnects on the hoses for both intake and output sides of the pump. If the boat was “winterized” those hoses should have been disconnected which would have allowed the pump to drain to prevent freeze...

    Factory Rod Holders

I troll for Tuna frequently using the stock rod holders in my 2005 Parker 2520 SL with 50s and have boated many fish with the rod in the holder for the last part of the fight. No giants but many 60-100lb fish. No problems at all. Can’t speak for newer boats but on my year of Parker, the cap...

    Prop size

    I have a 2005 Parker 2520SL (MV) with a white 2019 Suzuki DF300APXX (30” leg, no bracket). The Suzuki Water Grip 3 x 16 x 17 runs great on it…

    Auto pilot for fishing

I installed a Raymarine Evolution EV-200 Autopilot nine seasons ago, in my Parker 2520SL. The autopilot has been a game changer for me in all aspects of running the boat and trolling. When I installed my autopilot, the Raymarine Evolution EV-150 had not been produced yet, it would be a good...

    2007 Parker 2520 XL H.P.

It’s not gonna be a speed demon by any means but if the engines is propped correctly and running on all cylinders it will be OK. I’d guesstimate about 35ish at WOT, comfortable cruise in the mid 20s if it’s not rough and 1.5-2.0 mpg depending on load and sea state…

    Question about fuel gauge.

If you’re not already doing it , start keeping a fuel log. Fill your tank, keep track of hours run between fill ups and then how many gallons added on the next fill up. Divided # gallons added by hours run, do this every time you run the boat and fill up. The more precise you are with your...

    SiriusXM Marine Offshore

I just looked and see the Sirius “Fish Mapping” plan at $110. I don’t have that plan. Zero experience on that data from me, sorry for the confusion. It was just ignorance on my part not intentional bull$hit🤣.

    SiriusXM Marine Offshore

I don’t find the temperature data to be very accurate/valuable BUT I am running an older plotter that might not show as much/ detailed imagery as a newer one would. There isn’t any penalty for the “pause” but the service is not cheap, with music my bill is around $60 a month. I haven’t...

Yes, you can put a “pause” on the account. I do it every year for 5 months.

    SiriusXM Marine Offshore

I have Sirius and fish offshore in the Northeast. Sirius is useful at times but IMO frequently over rated on internet forums by subscribers. We don’t get a lot of pop up thunderstorm events in the Northeast particularly offshore, in Southern Waters where that type of weather is a lot more...

The biggest fish you ever caught

Followed very closely by that BEAUTIFUL sound of the drag, on the reel that caught the fish, that resulted in the bloody deck dumping out line during the knockdown/hook up. I’m getting a bit of a rush just thinking of how absolutely awesome that sound is….!

    New old stock outboards

I’d say good luck with that plan. Up until very recently, all the outboard makers had waiting lists that exceeded a year…

    2018 2120 Yamaha Diagnostic Report

Hour distribution in the assorted RPM ranges look to me that the engine has been run responsibly. My only concern with hours would be that I would make sure it’s propped so that you can get close to that 6000 at WOT. If the lower unit isn’t beat to $hit, my $$ says you’ve got a winner there...

Careful now, sharing that sort of info, you’re likely to trigger a Parker “EXPERT” who will explain that can’t be true because Parkers have “wood in them”….😂🤣😂🤣
