AGM to Lithium - 06 F225 BEP Cluster Switch

Well I ended up ordering my same start battery, the D34M Optima. I did order the LiTime 230ah plus Lithium for the house. I think it should work but I’m going to find out.

AGM to Lithium - 06 F225 BEP Cluster Switch

T Thanks Wart. I understand on the cranking amps. I think they have that handled now on the latest ones.

AGM to Lithium - 06 F225 BEP Cluster Switch

I posted this in “Electronics” and now moving to projects for help. I’ve started doing some research on replacing my start and house batteries this spring. I did the original project and purchased my current set in the spring of 2017. I started getting low voltage shut down on my inverter only...

    2320 Custom Sun Shade

I will need to measure them and get back to you. I did it about 9 years ago.

    2320 Custom Sun Shade

I had this made about 10 years ago. Has a zip out to get to the rods. It’s a dodger attached to the top with a track. Dodger zips into the small bimini. Very stable, I can run in any seas or winds with it. Can still handle rods in the back if trolling and not in way stepping in on jump seat.

What kind of setup do you know to run ac? And what are people running ?

I have a system using shore power and an inverter when not on shore power. It’s a Wabasto FCF 5K BTU marine system. I have a 200AH house battery and a Xantrax pure sign wave hardwired inverter. You outboard power is going to make the biggest difference in runtime based out stater/alt output. My...

Charging Lithium LifePro4 Via 3.3 F225 and BEP Cluster

Thanks for the replys. I’ve been told about the DC to Dc charger. I’m going to do some homework on that. Damaging the stater is my concern.

Charging Lithium LifePro4 Via 3.3 F225 and BEP Cluster

Happy Thanksgiving CP crew. I’ve started doing some research on replacing my start and house batteries this spring. I did the original project and purchased my current set in the spring of 2017. I started getting low voltage shut down on my inverter only after 30/40 minutes at the end of the...

    Hydraulic Steering

I installed a UFLEX Silversteer SV-28 or close. It was rated up to 300HP. I did it in 2016 and it has given me no issues. Seems to be a quality product. I’m pretty sure Wart recommended it to me back then. Good luck with the fix.

Common failure points for Bilge float switch? 2020 21 SE

Pelagic is spot on. Mine is currently out as well and I need to check the fuse and or replace the float switch. Manual is also working fine on mine. My fuse is an automotive style and it is mounted right next to the positive terminal of my start battery. I’ve highlighted to fuse location.

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

A follow up report after a couple of months. I’ve been using the manual down instead of the free fall mode. So far it has functioned without jams or any issues. I think going with a 100’ of chain helps with that. Now that I can see how the set up lays in the locker I wish I had gone to 125’ of...

Pilothouse guys (or anyone) what would you do?

I’ve never heard of such a thing in NC. 95% of everyone power loads at our ramps. 95% of everyone has bunk trailers. Our tide is about 3 to 4’ depending. I get what you are saying I’ve just never heard anything about not doing it. Do people use roller trailers a lot in NJ? I lived there when I...

Pilothouse guys (or anyone) what would you do?

Without seeing the dock set up….. I would approach just like you drew it. Timing the last of the forward thrust before neutral in a full left turn to head towards parallel with the dock. After neutral, turn the wheel back to straight to however right you need then put in reverse to pull the...

    Trailer side Bunks, Pros/Cons

I had the PVC pole guides on my new trailer and I ended up taking them off after the first year with them. I probably would have done it sooner but I just didn’t get to it. When you are crabbing in on approach they almost do more harm than good after the bow bounces off one and messes up...

    Looking for trailer information

If you live in an environment where you see most people with rollers due to the need to winch in at lower tides etc, then you probably need rollers. If you don’t need rollers, a bunk trailer is much better due to maintenance and ease of loading a boat. If you have brakes you expect to work after...

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

I remember looking at this project. Nice job on all that fabrication Warthog. That is the ideal placement for drop. I considered eliminating that rode hatch but I don’t have the skill level to do it and it would have likely been a hack job. Hopefully for my island anchoring it will work out. I...

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

Didn’t feel like starting a new thread on this but sharing with you guys anyway. I’m on the clean up stage of putting back in the water for 6 months. I have been working on the wax. Back on my big project thread from May 2017 the last thing I did was wax using ZEP Wax. That’s 5 years ago. My...

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

Well, I guess I started all this with my OCD and wanting to do everything as correctly as possible. That said, due to how “I” may run the boat on occasion, I may not go up to the bow to hook the safety/Anchor snubber to the chain every time, I wanted an on off switch. My rocker switch for the...

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

Yes, I understood where you were going with it after I pondered your original reply. I didn’t think of it but I do think it would work. As mentioned, you are just tapping the hot from the rocker to the hot on the solenoid. That lead has a 3amp in line fuse so I could see that working. The main...
