    28 repower

Suzuki will be more available and cheaper. I think they have taken over the repower market since Yamaha wasn't shipping much over 150 hp for over 2 years.

    Suspension seat

I bought the pro pedestals 2 years ago, I paid 950 for the pair with all the bushings needed for the seat and foot rest. It was about half the price pf seaspension and definitely improved the ride.

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

No one has mentioned the rode, but I highly recommend the 8 plaite rode, don't even waste your money on the 3 strand. It will coil easily and more compact and not be prone to getting jammed like the 3 strand will. I will also say look at a GOOD Windlass. They blow a Lewmar away and similiarly...

    v-berth cushions

I actually just had mine done on my 2520. I paid 1600 cash no tax, I hated the material that was used originally as it would produce stains and black mold dots and was always cleaning them with high strength bleach. Now all I will have to do is wipe them down

    Under Gunnel Holder

There is a guy named Mike Connelly on Parker group on facebook that makes custom holders. I bought a pair last spring for 180 and they were much more functional. He makes them out of starboard and live up in Maine I think.

    Sliding windows in cabin

Both port and starboard sliding windows on my 2520 leak in a driving rain or storm. There is an anodized piece of aluminum which has a rubber gasket/seal attached to it which rides along the fixed glass. Has anyone here ever had to replace this seal? I was able to finally track down the seal...

    Bilge drainage

    Bilge drainage

When I took delivery of my 2015 2520 xld I noticed in first few months I would never get any water in the stern bilge area. The bilge in the cabin floor always had water in it. The dealer sent their mechanic next spring and sent a camera down all of the runways. He also found a bunch of debris...

    New Member

69 hours? That is basically a new boat but if you want to spend money get it surveyed. I wouldn't waste my money unless you detect a problem when you sea trial it.

    Sliding window gaskets

Well I finally tracked down the seal needed to fix these leaks. Marine Glass Specialties in Florida has it and shipping out today, hooray!

First impressions of my repower with Suzuki

I had bad prop chatter with the yami, it used to drive me insane, surprisingly this doesn't happen anymore, the rattling is gone. The only time I get a little noise is when it is just in reverse gear at idle speed, as soon as I just give it hair more throttle the noise is gone. I am hauling out...

    Sliding window gaskets

The biggest problem is a northeaster, whenever we get one where my boat is docked it just blows past the gasket which is against the stationary glass, It will become a winter research project or I will take it apart and see if I can somehow replace the rubber attached to the anodized aluminum...

    Sliding window gaskets

I was wondering if anyone has ever had to replace the gaskets/seals on their sliding port and starboard windows. The gasket in question fits on the edge of the sliding glass and has a piece of rubber which sits against the stationary glass. Both windows on mine the rubber has worn on the top and...

2300 DVCC repowered with Suzuki 300 need prop advice

The 3x16x18 only got me 5200 max. They switched me out at 20 hour service to the 3x16x17 and it seems to be the best option so far. I hit 5900 rpm and getting 2.1 mpg which is a marked improvement from my 300 yami

    Thinking about adding autopilot

Once you have AP you will probably never own another boat without it. I had mine installed when I bought the boat in 2015. At the time I bought the Garmin package which included the Compass ball and 1.2 liter pump, shadow Drive and GHP 20. After 3 years and couple months the pump crapped out but...

Well I am 93 hours in now and very satisfied with the new Zuk. Been getting 2.1 mpg which is a good improvement over the Yami. A couple more trip and my season will be over
