I use Loran instead of gps. I pull up the two or three temp breaks I want to look at that trip on my phone on RipCharts before leaving the dock, touch the screen to get the Loran intersecting points, then plot them nearest to furthest in my Garmin then go.

The Sirius fish finder hasn’t been very helpful at all for me in the two years I’ve been using it. RipCharts is way better for temp breaks.

Nothing better in fishing than seeing a bloody deck like that!

And I agree with Wart & Pelagic, dual batteries & BEP cluster are the way to go.

I have a 2300DV but I had a leaning post built to sit on top of the baitwell, worked out great.

Correct, all Parker tops up until about a year ago were built by a company in SC. They have been moving production to a private shop (Hi-Speed Welding) in Wilmimgton, NC.

Obviously it depends on the current & winds offshore but I’ve fished for 5.5 hours and still had 20% battery power left.
