96' 23 SC Parker Tank Replacement

Okay so my new tank came (it was gorgeous, shoutout to Luthers), I coated it in coal tar, replaced the pipe, and dropped it in the hull. Really happy with how it has come out so far. It is a couple gallons smaller so it fits a little looser in the hull but I slid it up to about a 1/2" off the...

96' 23 SC Parker Tank Replacement

okay, that is the route I am going to go. How should i seal the top of the tank where the tabs are that screw into the stringers? Do i just go right over them and worry about trying to get it out if I ever have to cross that road again? Is there any prep that goes into coating the tank other...

96' 23 SC Parker Tank Replacement

okay so, warthog, lol, let me know what you think about this article that gives direction on how to install a tank. I am heavily leaning towards your method but this method seems to make a case too. As far as locking the tank in the top of the tank has 4 tabs that get screwed into the stringer...

96' 23 SC Parker Tank Replacement

Okay so I am looking for some input. Pulled the tank the other day and ripped out all the foam. Couple holes on the bottom back end of the tank where water would leak down the side and sit. The foam on the sides was actually pretty dry. After I pulled it I noticed the pipe connecting the front...

    Tank replacement on 2520 SCMV

I am having to replace my tank in 2320. I have been reading alot and seeing mixed reviews about foaming the tank back in. Is this a good idea or bad? I will be putting on the coal tar epoxy and a 3/16" tank. Curious for any tips/ tricks. Thanks.

96' 23 SC Parker Tank Replacement

The time has come. Original tank. Really stinks in the bilge. I am glad it happened now though so I can get a head start. I know alot of people have done this already. Was wondering if there is any good threads that document it the best. I will be doing it myself. Any tips tricks or insight...

    TRIM TILT

Sorry for the carry on, but is the first photo you posted of the the gear pump assembly?

    TRIM TILT

I just made sense to me that it was the assembly that was stuck because it is connected to the manual relief valve and when I used the manual relief I could push the trim pistons in. But on the schematics in the bottom of the reservoir there are parts called 'relief valves' so it makes me wonder...

    TRIM TILT

Okay so 39, 37, 38, 41, 40, 73, 41 were stuck inside. (bottom left of photo) Got them all out and had to order a new 39. I stripped everything down but did not go further than the canister on the reservoir side. The photo you posted of the tilt down issue being the relief valve makes me wonder...

I cant get the spring seal out at the moment and im guessing this is my main problem. Any insight on if this would cause my issue/ any idea on...
