1801 & Minn Kota Riptide Terrova Quest

I have that one also. No way this comes undone. Plenty of threads make it very secure. My TM comes off after every trip and this plug is as snug as day 1.

    18 CC or 18 SE ?

    (y) Amen to that! My brothers boat is like that and it drives me nuts!

    Hi

Marblehead for me too. I'll keep an eye out for you!

    Hi

Did you top it off before your trips? As long as you know you have plenty of fuel, keep using it to see if it moves. If it doesn't after half a tank or so, then you may need to check your sending unit. Nice rig! Will you be launching from Marblehead on the Saco river?

Parker 1800 - Yeti Seat Upgrade and Running Board

Elevation Marine for me also 👍. 36" wide Bay Series. They tweaked my rod holders more vertical also. 60 QT Grizzly cooler underneath mine.

    T-Top issue

I actually think the welding is fine. Welding thin wall aluminum tubing without access to the backside is not always easy. Aluminum needs to be relatively clean prior to welding. Any impurities on the inside of the tube get consumed in the weld puddle and it doesn't flow very well. You almost...

?? How come? I'm not disputing but wondering why?

    Suzuki DF150A Parker 1801

I think for re-powering an 1800/1801, the DF140BG is the way to go. Going on my 3rd season and I've been very satisfied with it. The slight weight increase is un-noticeable. For this boat, its more than enough power. Tops out at 40mph, super quiet and is great on gas. What's not to like. 😁

Parker 1800 - Yeti Seat Upgrade and Running Board

Unless you have other issues, there isn't much to do other than fill in the old holes with epoxy. The bigger issue for me was the discoloration under the seat base. I ended up taping off the area and re-coated the deck with gelcoat before mounting the leaning post. It's not a perfect color match...

Parker 1800 - Yeti Seat Upgrade and Running Board

Agree! Seat height from the original cooler seat was lousy, at least for us short guys. I think most of us went with the aftermarket leaning post as a fix. The Yeti cooler looks good though. Is there a backer inside the console to resist pulling out the hardware?

Boat Tarps - Use a good DIY 'A'-Frame & $90 tarp versus shrink wrap @ $20 per foot - PER year!

Shrink wrapper here too. $600+ for the gun, $200+ for 150' of wrap and $100 for tape, strapping, buckles and vents. My 1800 uses 25' of wrap per season so I'm good for 6 seasons. $900 / 6 = $150 per year. But... from what I've noticed, the gun loses little value over time, so selling it later...

    Weight considerations: repowering a 98' 1800?

My thoughts exactly! I'm not comfortable WOT unless it's perfectly flat.

    Weight considerations: repowering a 98' 1800?

I have the Fly-By-Wire. Mine was slightly over that $ but well worth it. 40MPH on the button @ 6100 with the stock Aluminum 3X14X21.

    Can’t fill boat with fuel

Although I only have an 1800, my neighborhood gas station has a slight slope where you pull up next to the pump. If I pulled in with the bow slightly down, I would have trouble filling. If I pull in from the other direction, bow slightly up, no problem. I didn't change anything but I can get 2...

    2100 DV Fuel Tank Replacement

Looks like they did a nice job! 👍 You can see the heat marks from where the baffles were welded from the inside.

    2100 DV Fuel Tank Replacement

Exactly! That crack would be what you would expect from the constant flexing of the aluminum panels. It starts from the inside where there is incomplete fusion at the root of the weld. Also, I'm curious as to what this looks like from the inside?
