    18 CC or 18 SE ?

Wow, that bow liner looks terrible. I'd love a wider 18 with a taller bow, but that mess up in the bow makes me not interested at all. I assume that edge/lip is to hold a removable casting platform, which might make it look slightly better?

    Jackplate on a 1801?

I was figuring ~500 ish RPM gain from dropping 2in of pitch. I guess that was on the high side, but only gaining 100 RPM told me that something else was wrong. After raising the motor my 14.75in diameter x 17pitch prop is right about where i want to be. I could drop another inch of pitch and...

    Jackplate on a 1801?

Can't say I've done much high speed sharp turning, but when cruising at 26-28 mph and making 45-60 degree turns it does fine. Tring to do a sharp 90 at 30+ might be a problem, but I never have a need to drive that way...

    18 CC or 18 SE ?

What's the downside of a 2 piece hull with a liner? Is it less rigid than a traditional wood stringers with wood floor build? Looks like the liner eliminates the floor space under the gunwale cap, which i HATE. Not having that room for my toes while leaning on the gunwale makes the boat feel...

    Jackplate on a 1801?

I installed a 4'' setback manual jack plate. I raised the engine so that the cavitation plate is 2'' above the bottom of the hull, when the plate is parallel to the hull bottom. This position is about 1/4'' higher than if the engine was mounted in the top hole. Motor was previously mounted...

    18 CC or 18 SE ?

The website says that the new 18SE is all composite construction and the photos look like it has more freeboard and a higher bow, but I don't see any specs to confirm the higher sides. Does the composite construction add weight compared to the wood stringers and floor?

Boat Wanted A friend is looking for a used 21se model years 2006 to 2014. Budget depends on the boat. Low hours and a yamaha 4 stroke. Send us what u have. Thanks

I'm just curious, why the 2006-2014 year range? Were there major model year changes around those dates? I thought all of the 21SEs were the same hull and design, with options for forward or rear platforms, etc.

    Jackplate on a 1801?

The hole shot is awesome, it'll jump up on plane and put you back in the seat. Its a 1998 1800 with a 25'' transom. Motor is a 25'' shaft with 2.25:1 gearcase. Cavitation plate is currently 1/2'' below the back of the hull keel. Motor is mounted in 2nd hole down. When i dropped from 19...

    Jackplate on a 1801?

Thanks everyone! I ordered a 4'' setback jack plate and will be installing it this winter. I won't be putting the boat back in the water until spring, but I'll report back on how it rides and what my optimal height is.

    Jackplate on a 1801?

More great info, thanks. I went from a 14.5'' 19 pitch prop to a 14.5'' 17 pitch prop of the same design/brand and only gained about 100 RPM and 1 mph. I was expecting much more out of the prop change, which is what lead me to the engine height issue. I want to get the engine height just...

    Jackplate on a 1801?

Longislandifsh, thanks for the info, you've just convinced me to order the 4'' setback jack plate. What kind of speed / RPM increases did you get at WOT and cruise after raising your motor? I'm trying to figure out what sort of performance improvements i should expect. Thanks again!!

    Jackplate on a 1801?

Thanks for the pictures! Mine is also one from the lowest setting and looks like your photo on the right, with the cavitation plate completely underwater when on plane and trimmed up. How many RPM and MPH did you pick up after raising the motor?

    Jackplate on a 1801?

My biggest concern/question is that I don't want the 4'' setback to cause the boat to porpoise. The 115 E-tec is relatively light compared to a 4-stroke 150 that the boat is rated for, so I'm thinking it would be fine? The boat currently rides very flat, even with the motor trimmed up a good...

    Jackplate on a 1801?

Wasn't planning to do a modified pickup. I'm not planning to go crazy high, I mostly want a 4'' setback manual jack plate to help me fine tune my engine height. I know that my motor is currently too low, but am concerned that going up one hole (3/4'') might be too high? It's a real pain to...

    Jackplate on a 1801?

I know this is an old thread, but I'm now thinking about adding a 4'' jack plate to my 1800 and would like to hear from people who have done it. Are there any downsides? I assume a 4'' setback won't make the transom sit too low in the water? I'm running a 115 E-tec and even with 2 guys in...

How to contact Parker for info on an older boat - inquiring about a unique hull.

Thanks for the replies! I emailed Michele, but didn't get a response. Maybe she doesn't work there after the buyout? I then emailed [email protected] and got a same day response from a guy named Travis, who was super helpful. Travis informed me that they lost all of their build data from...

How to contact Parker for info on an older boat - inquiring about a unique hull.

I’m considering picking up another classic Parker for a winter project, but I want more info on the boat before possibly buying it. Is there a way to contact Parker to request info if I have the HIN? I’m looking at a 1995 21. The owner says it’s an SE and that it was a Wildlife Officer / DNR...

    Show me your splash plates

The Classic Mako guys are the kings of DIY splash plates, as those old deep V Makos had very deep and wide transom notches. Check out the Classic Mako site for some great pics and ideas.

    Parker 17 / 18 CC wheel house

Russell, that pilothouse looks great! Do you know how much it weighs? Have you had any issues with the original console flexing or cracking because of the house? I'm wondering because I've been advised not to use a console mounted T-top on the older two piece consoles, as people claim that...
