Got some of the hardware on the boat, as well as the pilothouse. Waiting on some electrical and lighting to show up in the mail. Anyone know of a good place to source used motors on the west coast? My old contact seems to have retired. Looking at the new Suzuki 140 but they want you to bust out another twenty without batting a eye. I’ve had good luck with used motors in the past so I’m open to going that route if I can find a nice deal.

Take a look at boat specialists up in Ventura. I’ve purchased two engines from them. Also, go with the largest Garmin touchscreen you can get. 10” or bigger.

It’s been slow going with work and everything in between, but here we are. We’ve finally got around to slapping some lipstick on this pig. We put down a coat of hibuild primer blocked it down and layed down another coat of hi build then came back and sprayed three coats of Proline Bulwark blue and snow white for the color combo. Super happy with the results. Most of the hard work is done. I just need to hit the lotto to afford an outboard for this thing. I’ve got the rub rail aswell as some other odds and ends on the way. Although I still need to finish the deck anti-skid and the three spots on the underside of the hull were it is currently sitting. That should only take me a day or two. We’ll get this thing pieced back together here soon enough and it might start looking like a fishing boat again. I must say that whole bust out another thousand thing is on another level these days, we haven’t even got to the expensive stuff yet and I might start having to dip into my fishing funds to afford a GPS/Fishfinder. What’s everyone’s favorite Simrad, Furuno,Garmin,Lowrance, ect? I’m leaning toward Simrad/Furuno but man $$$$. Speaking of fishing here’s a bonus picture of a recent bluefin I got out of San Diego on the live flyer. Hopefully we’ll get some like this on the boat next season and all this hard work will feel well paid off. That’s enough boat work for now, I’m gonna go sit on the beach for a week or so and unwind. Then back to reality and we’ll get this thing buttoned up.
Beautiful work man!!!

Here’s my Pilothouse I built windows are being installed now

Keep Shopping on the Suzzy. You will pay a Lil more for the DF-140BG.

It's FLW [Fly by wire] control.... You WILL LOVE it.

Getting a deal sometimes means traveling some distance to have it installed.

A buddy of mine did this. Get it all set up..... Travel Sunday evening... Have boat at Shop when they open on Monday morning..... 5:00 Monday afternoon, head back home.

love your build bro! I want to build a proper doghouse like that, love the angles and lines on it. That mold you have is money!! Your Uncle owns Pacific Pilothouse right?
