Hey guys,
I blew a hole in my Yammi 200hp old carbed 2 stroke over the weekend. Looking to repower with a 300 Zuk.
Placard on transom says 325hp max rating.
But this was 21 yrs ago when the older lighter 2 strokes were around.
Should I be worried about the heavier 4 stroke on the notch transom??
Thanks in advance
Es

I have the same boat just a few years newer (with 30" notch). Repowered to a Yammie F300 from 225 OX66 and did not have an issue with weight affecting the transom or even changing the water line height of the bottom paint. There's quite a few on here that have done the same with no reported structural issues. Also have to consider that there are some 2520 notches with twin motors hung on them that have a combined weight heavier than your new single Zuke.

Thanks for the replies guys!
I think I’m gonna pull the trigger today on the Zuk...hate seeing my boat out of the water

How is your 300 Suzuki working out?
I just repowered a 1987 2520 Souwester with a 250DF Suzuki - just completed 10 hr break in.
We should compare RPM-SOG - fuel flow notes at various RPM My Prop is a 3 x 16 x 17r Suzuki
Contact me if you want to compare notes.
