First try fishing this year, took yesterday off and took three others out south of Boston near the lighthouses and in the shipping channel.

Crazy weather with 80F called for but we had rain and clouds in AM with chop then afternoon clearing. Was like two seasons.

Only two keepers at minimum length, and a lot of smalls.

Keeper on a jig, and one on clams. Lot of small ones on clams.

One photo example, a friend and soon to be 19 year old stepson somehow was first cod trip. Other photo is a typical scene, waiting and hanging out with another friend smoking a stogie.

48F water, depths tried 40 to 160 feet for now.

Yes, there were times where a few of them were tired when they were using cod jigs. Wind, waves, and current made you work to keep on the bottom, though these were photos when the waves subsided.

Just had to remind them to release the fish on the floor or top of transom box. Sometimes they chose the engine cover cushion.
