2005 Parker 2120 SC DV for sale, Cape Cod, MA
History:
I have owned this boat for about three years. I bought it used from Bass River Marine, a local Parker dealer. The boat was represented to me as a one owner boat serviced at the dealership. The owner was an older gentleman who lived in the mid-cape area who used it for striper fishing. The dealer had taken it in on trade.
I bought it to use primarily for early spring and fall fishing. The 200 hp Yamaha pushes the boat on plane easily and it cruises as slow as 18 mph or as fast as 35. I don’t top it out, so I’m not sure how fast it really is. It does not seem to need a Permatrim and the trim tabs are not huge. I was prepared to replace them with larger tabs when I bought the boat, but it does not seem to need anything bigger. The deep v works well in the two foot chop and I have run this boat 20+ miles out to the Hooter buoy south of the Vineyard, CuttyHunk, Fairhaven, Noman’s Land and Hyannis Harbor from Falmouth. I thought I would use it to trailer it around the Cape to chase the bite, but I just kept it at the dock.
I really like this boat, but I don’t use it as much as I thought I would. I own three boats and I end up using my 30’ Grady White most of the time. My plan is to sell two of my three boats, replace the two I sell with one and be a two boat owner. In fact, I already sold the first boat last month. It went very fast. So now I need to sell the Parker. Here are the details.
Engine:
2005 6 cylinder Yamaha F200. 385 hours.
Replaced the exhaust when I bought it.
New VSC and HP fuel pump.
New tilt/trim relay assembly.
Always serviced under the Yamaha schedule.
My tech verified the hours with a computer when I bought the boat. He believes the power head may have been replaced based on his visual observations. I have no confirmation of his conclusions. I have posted some pictures of the engine below.
The engine was just serviced 12/21/202 including: 100 hr oil and filter, gear lube, and all fuel filters including the VSC filter. It is already for the 2022 season.
Electronics:
New Simrad Go 9 with all in one transom mount transducer purchased 2021.
Furuno model 1623 radar and dome (came with the boat).
Garmin GPSmap 188C. (Came with boat) The unit is used as a back-up GPS. It is fish finder capable, but the transducer was removed when I installed the Simrad. The Garmin transducer comes with the boat.
Icom VHF. (Came with boat)
Equipment:
Anchor and rode. No pulpit or windless.
One-piece Bow rail.
Bow Fender carriers and fenders.
V berth hatch and side vents.
Remote control spot light.
Twin horns.
Roof mounted taco outrigger bases and 12’ poles.
Roof mounted rod holders (in great shape structurally, but the gold finish is heavily pitted).
Custom made storage drawer box under the captain’s seat.
Crew bench seat with some small reddish brown stains on the vinyl cushion.
Custom cockpit storage cabinet where the second station would be mounted (no second station).
Port-a-potty.
Full cabin cushions and cockpit cushions in very good shape.
Trim tabs
Recent boat work:
New gas tank and cockpit deck professionally installed three years ago.
All roof mounted equipment hardware was removed, cleaned or replaced and rebedded.
Transom mounted swim platform and ladder on the starboard side added three years ago.
Added a fifth gunnel mount rod holder on the port side last year.
Trailer:
Comes with a Karavan aluminum frame, double axle trailer with 14 inch wheels and tires.
No brakes.
One new wheel and tire, good spare tire and wheel on a new spare carrier mount. New trailer jack.
Work to be done before 2022 launch:
If I were to keep the boat I would install a the new transducer that I already purchased for the Simrad. The transducer that came with the Simrad Go9 was damaged by the pressure washer when I pulled it out this fall. The new one is still in the box and will come with the boat. I would probably repaint the bottom, but you could get away with touching up the bare spots if you are lazy. I would give the exterior a good polishing. The hull still shines.
Price: $32,000 as is. If I don’t sell it quickly, I plan to take it off the market, paint the bottom, put on the transducer, polish it up nice and pretty and list it in the spring for $35,000.
See the pictures to be posted below and ask any questions. I have two short videos of the outside and inside of the boat. FWIW, I’m more interested in working with local people who can come and look at it rather than people from out of state that would like me to answer a lot of questions and make videos of the bilge for them. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to take your money, but the boat is stored in a garage about 70 miles away from me and I’m not interested in trying to provide a virtual inspection and survey.
